There has been sheer frustration by Applicants who are unable to book a Premium Centre Service appointment recently. Sitting for many hours, refreshing the website to see if there is an appointment available within the next 45 days.
Some have been able to book a Premium Service appointment by luck, some by being patient, and some by scheduling an appointment that is available in any Premium Application Centre, no matter how far it is for them.
The reason for this could be because of the new process that the UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) is introducing from November 2018.
In May 2018, the Home Office gave Sopra Steria, an IT service group, to deliver a streamlined application process from over 57 locations across the UK, including libraries.
The purpose of this new process is to help Applicants to submit all their documents and personal information quickly, and the aim is to simplify the whole process.
You will be able to keep your documents and travel documents while the UKVI considers your application. Applicants can also pay for additional services such as next day appointments, walk-in appointments and document checking service.
The streamlined application process is coming into phases:
2nd November 2018: Sopra Steria will have the new online booking system go live.
5th November 2018: New UK Visas and Immigration Visas Application Centres will start to open in phases.
29th November 2018: all UK Visas and Immigration Applications Centres will be opened.
5th November 2018- 29th November 2018– During this period, the majority of the Applicants can choose the to enrol their biometrics and submit their documents at the new visa application centres or use the existing Premium Service Centres.
29th November 2018: All Premium Service Centres will be closed, and the Applicants must choose the new centres.
WH Solicitors offer application document checking service to ensure that you have the correct specified documents and check if there are no other problems.
